Brookings police report two weekend business burglaries.

Sergeant Joel Perry says Industrial Machine on the Highway
14 Bypass reports a break-in that happened sometime between
Friday evening at 6:00 and Monday morning.

Someone entered the building by prying open a back door.
They then opened a garage, and drove a vehicle inside. They
were apparently moving a pallet to make room for the vehicle
when they crashed the forklift into a doorway. The burglars
left without taking anything.

Perry did not have a dollar amount on the damage.

A burglary also reported at Royal Plastics, located on the
200 block of 32nd Ave. An unknown amount of cash was
taken sometime between 6:00 Saturday night and Noon on
Sunday.  There is no sign of forced entry.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact
