Brookings police arrest a man for possesion of a stolen car and
a probation violation.
Lt. Derrick Powers says they received information from Spearfish
police that a man had purchased a car from a dealer in that town
using a no-account check.  Powers says they had information the
man might be staying at the Staurolite Inn.
Powers says police went to the hotel at about 8:20 Thursday
evening, found the man, and located the vehicle.
The 31-year-old Bell Fourche man was placed under arrest.
A female companion was not charged.
Powers says the man may have done the same thing with
another vehicle at a second Spearfish dealership.  That vehicle
is apparently in Iowa.
