South Dakota State University names a new Dean of the College of Nursing.
She is Nancy Fahrenwald, currently the associate dean for research in the
SDSU College of Nursing. She came to the university in 1995, after serving
as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi.
Fahrenwald says, "It is truly an honor and a privilege to accept this leadership
role. I am proud to serve students, faculty, and diverse academic and research
partners both within and beyond SDSU."
She received her nursing doctorate in 2002 from the University of Nebraska
Medical Center, Omaha, Neb., and her master's in 1988 at the University
of Portland in Oregon. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing in
1983 from SDSU.
