Clear Lake shooting victims are recovering

by Perry Miller
The two people injured in a Clear Lake shooting earlier this month
are both recovering.
The June 16th incident ended with the suicide of the shooter. Law
enforcement was called to a Clear Lake residence that night for a
double shooting.
Two people sustained gunshot wounds and were flown to a hospital
for medical care.
The alleged shooter, 40-year-old Brett M. Pommer of Clear Lake,
barricaded himself in the residence.  SWAT teams entered the
residence to find Pommer dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
One of the victims tells Brookings Radio News that she is out of
the hospital and is doing well. Her mother was the other victim.
She remains hospitalized but is getting better.  The victims prefer
that their identities not be released.
