Teen killed in accident near Arlington

A 17-year-old girl from Badger is killed in a three-vehicle accident west of Arlington.
It happened Monday afternoon on Highway 14.
Authorities say a distracted driver traveling eastbound struck the rear end of another
vehicle causing it to cross in the path of a school bus carrying athletes from
Clark - Willow Lake.
The girl who was killed was in the vehicle hit by the bus. Two other occupants of that
rear-ended vehicle were taken to a Brookings Hospital and then air lifted to Sioux
Falls hospitals where they are listed in critical condition.
Eighteen students and staff were on the bus and received minor bumps and bruises.
They were members of the Clark-Willow lake volleyball team returning home from
a team camp in Elkton.
The distracted driver received a reckless driving citation and could face additional
charges. That person's condition is not known.
Names have not been released.
