A Brookings woman receives minor injuries a Saturday morning car/bicycle
accident.

Sophia Nehlich-Arobba, age 21, was riding the bike on 22nd Ave. According
to Brookings police, she failed to obey the traffic lights
at the intersection with
6th Street and was hit by an eastbound car driven
by 63-year-old Carol Glantz
of Volga.

Police say Glantz had a green light and did not see the bicycle until it was
too late.

Nehlich-Arobba was taken by ambulance to the Brookings hospital to be
checked and to be treated for scrapes and bruises.
