BELLE FOURCHE, S.D. (AP) - Construction is getting underway on a business in the Black Hills of western South Dakota that will service the booming energy industry of western North Dakota.
The Black Hills Pioneer reports that a groundbreaking ceremony was scheduled Monday for Permian Tank & Manufacturing Inc. The steel and fiberglass storage tank manufacturer will employ as many as 65 people in Belle Fourche, making products for the energy industries in North Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.
Texas-based Permian Tank will anchor a new industrial park in the community of 5,600 people. Hiring is to begin in the spring.
