Rapid City man sentenced for shooting another man over a cigarette



    RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - A Rapid City man who shot another man in the head with a .45-caliber handgun after he refused to give him a cigarette has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
 
     Authorities say 21-year-old Kelsey Reavis was arrested in April 2012 after shooting 28-year-old Christopher Levin, of Rapid City, because he wouldn't give Reavis a cigarette.
 
     Reavis was originally charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, possession of a loaded firearm while intoxicated and possession of alcohol by a minor.
 
     He later pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
