Pierre Guard unit may be home for Christmas

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) - Gov. Dennis Daugaard says a South Dakota National Guard unit from Pierre might be home from Afghanistan in time for Christmas.
The 70 members of the 152nd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion left this summer and were to be gone nine months.
But KCCR-AM reports Daugaard says there's "a fair possibility" the unit could return in December.
He says some of the other 200 South Dakota Guard members overseas might also come home early.
