An Estelline man dies from injuries suffered in a Friday morning crash on Interstate
29 near Watertown.

The Highway Patrol says 77-year-old Patrick Neal Gilligan died Monday from his
injuries.  Gilligan was driving a northbound pickup that slid on the ice and went out
of control. The vehicle entered the center median and rolled once.

Both occupants were transported to a Watertown hospital. Gilligan was later taken
to a Sioux Falls hospital where he passed away from injuries received in the crash.

His passenger, 73-year-old Joan Gilligan of Estelline, sustained serious but
non-life threatening injuries.
