Court appearance for Aberdeen man charged in armed robberies
ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - An Aberdeen judge set bond at $10,000 for a man arrested for two armed robberies.
Christian Cabrera-Ascenio, of Aberdeen, is charged with felony counts of aiding and abetting the robbery of Fresh Start Credit Sales and aiding and abetting attempted robbery of Lafayette Casino.
Both crimes were reported March 18.
Cabrera-Ascenio pleaded not guilty Monday.
The 27-year-old is also charged in a separate case with witness tampering for allegedly having contact with one of the other people arrested in the robbery case.
And in a third case, he's charged with a third drunken driving charge in a 10-year span.
