Snowstorm in western South Dakota



     RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - It's almost May, but western South Dakota is dealing with heavy snow.
 
     The National Weather Service has posted a winter storm warning for the northern Black Hills, with up to 15 inches of snow expected. No travel is advised in much of the area.
 
     A winter weather advisory is in effect for northwestern South Dakota, with 2-5 inches of snow expected.
 
     Snow also is possible in the west and north on Tuesday.
 
     Rapid City had a record amount of rain on Sunday. The weather service says 1.22 inches fell at the airport, breaking the April 27 record of 1.05 inches set in 1976.
