Sioux Falls broker sentenced for scamming investors of $20 million
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls broker has been sentenced to nine years in prison for scamming more than 100 investors out of a total of more than $20 million.
Sixty-six-year-old Randal Hansen was convicted in federal court of 26 felony fraud charges. U.S. Attorney Brendan Johnson says in addition to his prison sentence, Hansen also must spend three years on supervised release, pay $2,600 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund and pay restitution to be determined later.
