Cami Powers, Regional Manager


Cami has worked in radio for 19 years, starting in sales then moving to Sales Manager, General Manager and now Regional Manager of South Dakota where she is currently overseeing the Brookings, Watertown and Madison markets.  Seventeen of those years have been right here in Brookings.  She is also honored to be Vice President of Brookings Radio as well as an Executive Vice President for Three Eagles Communications.

She currently serves on the Jackrabbit Scholarship Auction committee, is a Junior Achievement consultant, Rotary member, Optimist Club member, Special Olympics volunteer, Uncle Sam Jam Coordinator, Project Joy Committee member and First Lutheran Church Radio Committee member.

Cami's husband, Derrick is Lieutenant at the Brookings Police Department. They have 2 children, Ainsley and Brody.  As a 1989 graduate of Brookings High School and a 1993 graduate of South Dakota State University, Cami is an avid Bobcat AND Jackrabbit fan.  In her spare time, she likes to play softball, run, camp with her family, and fish with her husband Derrick.

Cami feels privileged to work with a group of 20 professional broadcasters that are here for the same reason. . .to make Brookings Radio the very best small market radio stations in the area!

Kelli Hanson, General Manager


Kelli was born and raised in Brookings.  She graduated from Brookings High School and then from National American University in Rapid City with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an Associates Degree in Accounting.  At NAU she was a member of the College Rodeo Team and a College National Finalist two years in a row.  After graduation she decided to make Brookings her home. 
 
Kelli is currently the secretary for Brookings Area Crime Stoppers and is on the Home Show Committee for the Brookings Regional Builders Association.   She enjoys following all area sports especially the Bobcats and Jackrabbits. 
 
Kelli and her husband Matt, a teacher at Mickelson Middle School, have a two year old son, Baker.  In her spare time she enjoys playing softball, barrel racing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Laura Gerjets, Business Manager


Laura Gerjets plays a key roll at Brookings Radio, she is the Business Manager and maintains the accounting for all five radio stations.  Along with that, Laura also helps with promotions put on by Brookings Radio including "Reading Rocks!", a program that emphasizes the important of reading to the area elementary students, she coordinates and manages the Radio Auction, and does some website maintenance.  Laura joined the radio station March, 2007 as the Website and Promotions Manager and was promoted to Business Manager in December of the same year.

Laura grew up near the Volga/Bruce area and attended Sioux Valley Schools K-12, graduating in 1998.  She then traveled south to attend the University of South Dakota.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Management, Specializing in Human Resources.  Laura currently lives outside of Brookings on an acreage with her husband, Nick, and their two kids, Nadalee and Landon.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, camping, cooking, and baking.  Her all-time favorite activity is taking the kids to new and exciting places.  Laura says, "watching the kids grow and learn is absolutely amazing."

Duayne Boesch, Sales


Duayne started in the radio industry in 1971 doing overnights and broadcasting to the meatpackers at Hormel in Austin, Minnesota. WOW. . .that's 41 years! After stopping in Mason City, Iowa; Sioux City, Iowa; and Pierre, South Dakota; he ended up in Brookings in 1984.

Duayne grew up in the small, southern Minnesota community of Amboy (about 25 miles south of Mankato). During his "downtime", Duayne enjoys Cajun cooking, reading, doing yard work, and spoiling his granddaughter and grandson. Duayne and his wife, Cyndy, have three children:  Tony, April, and Daniel. Tony and his wife, Jennifer live in Sioux Falls along with their daugher Alexis and son Logan. Tony graduated from SDSU, is a full-time TSgt/Crew Chief with the South Dakota Air National Guard. April is also a graduate of SDSU and works as an Emergency Room Clerk at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. April’s husband, Mitch, is a Corrections Officer with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Department. The youngest, Daniel, and his wife, Katie, are both active duty Army Recruiters and are based in St. Louis Missouri. They both served in Iraq from December 2005 through November 2006 and again in April 2008 to March 2009.

Duayne's favorite thing about working in radio is that every day is different. He feels he gets the pleasant opportunity to work with a professional staff of broadcasters who are dedicated to our listeners, our customers, and the public. He also gets to work with some of the best businessmen and businesswomen in Brookings. He says: "every day I learn something new from them and hopefully, I'm able to share ideas to help benefit their business!"

Keith King, Sales


Keith King is a high school graduate of Deuel High School in Clear Lake, South Dakota and grew up on a farm just a few miles outside of town. After high school he attended Southeast Technical Institute and graduated as a Computer Support Specialist.
 
Keith’s first started in sales with Gateway Computers in 1999 at an outbound call center in Sioux Falls. From there he worked with Sprint PCS for over 5 years and now has been full time at Brookings Radio since 2007. Keith's family consists of his wife, Candice, and four children:  Austen, Natashia, Isabelle and Tysen. In his spare time Keith enjoys playing with his kids, doing some home improvement projects, and working on the computer creating and maintaining websites. Keith is also active in the community being a Den leader in Cub Scouts, Board chair on the Church council, Habitat for Humanity ReStore Board, and doing other volunteer projects in the community. Justin Olson, Sales


Justin graduated from Brookings High School and went on to receive a Marketing Degree from South East Technical Institute. With a large amount of his family living in Brookings Justin decided to join Brookings Radio to ensure that people spend locally and to help local businesses be the best that that they can be. He is proud to call Brookings home.

Mary Panerio, Sales


Originally from Spearfish, SD, Mary moved to Brooking to attend college at South Dakota State University.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Music Merchandising, she took a position marketing a local concert series, Woodbine Productions.  It was through this position that she got her introduction to radio advertising.
 
Mary became a member of Brookings Radio’s team in 2009.  She enjoys learning about different types of businesses and finding ways to help them grow.  “There’s nothing more rewarding that having a business thank you and credit your work for their success,” she says.
 
Outside of work, Mary is active in many local organizations including the Downtown Brookings Inc. Board of Directors, Brookings Chamber Retail Committee, Brookings Business Builders, and Design Visual Arts Group, Inc.  In  her spare time, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, Drew, traveling, biking, camping, and experiencing live music.

Bryan Waltz, Sales


Bryan Waltz started his radio career in the early 1980’s when he was 14 years old in Rugby, North Dakota. After high school graduation, he moved to Fargo and attended Moorhead State University.
 
Bryan worked for Y-94 and Lite Rock 105 in Fargo, then Power 96 in Faribault and Albert Lea, Minnesota. In 1991, he moved to Brookings as Program Director and Morning Show Host on 910 KJJQ. Bryan has worked for Three Eagles Communications in the Sales Department and as Program Director and Morning Show Host at K Country 102.3 and 96.9 KDLO in Watertown and after 20 years he is back on KJJQ as Morning Show Host of the Ranch AM 910. Bryan has a passion for country music and is a Certified Radio Market Consultant. 

Bryan has a 4 year old, Kade Macklin, and lives in Volga.
