BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) - A National Guard unit from Brookings will
be activated June 9 for deployment to Iraq.
The 139th Brigade Support Battalion will mobilize about 64
soldiers.
The unit will receive, store and distribute supplies and
equipment during its one-year deployment.
The soldiers will train at Fort Hood, Texas before leaving for
overseas duty.
