18-year-old killed in motorcycle/pickup crash near Rapid City

An 18-year-old motorcycle driver died Saturday evening in a two-vehicle crash four miles south of Rapid City.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family.
According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, the motorcycle was traveling eastbound when a westbound pickup turned left into the path of the cycle. The motorcycle struck the rear passenger side of the pickup. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt.
