Brookings, S.D. – Jan. 11, 2021 – Jaclyn Rauen, RN, was recently promoted to inpatient care nursing director at Brookings Health System, a new position the health system added due to growth and expansion.

As the inpatient care nursing director, Rauen will coordinate and manage all aspects of care for inpatient, ICU and swing bed patients at Brookings Hospital. She will work closely with physicians, nursing team members and ancillary departments within the health system to promote optimal patient outcomes. In addition, she will assume supervisory responsibilities for the inpatient care staff.

Rauen holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Educator from Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University. She has over ten years of nursing experience, including seven years as a registered nurse at Brookings Health. She most recently served as Brookings Health System’s diabetic educator in addition to nursing duties on the inpatient care unit. She has also served as both a clinical and adjunct nursing instructor for SDSU.
