American and POW/MIA flags stolen, poles damaged in Brookings

An American flag and a POW/MIA flag were stolen and the poles damaged in downtown Brookings.
Police Lt. Marci Gebers says it was reported Sunday morning. One of the poles was located near the VFW, the other near Ray’s Corner.
The loss is estimated at $200.
The flags are provided by Rolling Thunder and Ray’s Corner.
There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Brookings police or Crime Stoppers at 692-STOP.
