Another 121 COVID-19 cases reported today, state hits 988

COVID-19 cases continue to climb in South Dakota. The state Department of Health reports 121 new cases today, raising the total of confirmed cases to 988.

There have been 8308 negative tests and 261 people have recovered from the virus.

The state stands at six deaths from coronavirus.

Brookings County has a total of 9 cases with 6 recovered. The County is listed as community spread, in the minimal/moderate category.

There is community spread in 20 counties.

Minnehaha County saw another big jump and now stands at 768 confirmed cases. A total of 438 of those are connected to Smithfield Foods.
