April vaccination centers set for Brookings

The Brookings County Pandemic Planning and Coordination Committee has scheduled two upcoming community vaccination centers for April 1 and April 15. Both events will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Swiftel Center in Brookings.

Limited first dose vaccines will be available to Brookings County residents who fall under Phase 1D or Phase 1E of the Department of Health’s vaccination plan. Those eligible can register for either date and do not need to wait to receive a call from their clinic to register. Registration is required and walk-ins will not be accepted.

Those registered for the April 1 community vaccination center must commit to receiving a second dose on April 29; those registered for the April 15 date must commit to receiving a second dose on May 13.

Recipients will need to bring a valid ID and a completed vaccine administration form

Eligible Brookings County residents may call 692-2811 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays or visit the Brookings Health website to sign up.
