A construction trailer is burglarized in Brookings.

Assistant Chief of Police Derrick Powers says it was reported at 6:00 am Tuesday and had happened overnight. The trailer was parked at a construction site on 32nd Avenue, north of the bypass.

The trailer had been left secured at about 4:00 o’clock Monday afternoon. By early Tuesday morning, entry had been forced and a number of tools had been stolen.

Missing are power tools and batteries and other items. Powers says they’re valued at more than $1000.
