Brookings woman facing charges after allegedly assaulting man with pocket knife

A Brookings woman is charged with aggravated assault for allegedly injuring a man with a pocket knife.
Brookings police say it was reported shortly before 1:00 o’clock Saturday morning on the 900 block of Southland Lane.
A 29-year-old Brookings man had been in an argument with his wife when she reportedly used the pocket knife and slashed his finger and neck. The man was taken to the Brookings Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Forty-one-year-old Patricia Merrival was arrested for aggravated assault domestic and misdemeanor warrants out of Lawrence and Pennington Counties.
