BOBCAT TICKETS…The Brookings Activities Office will be selling general admission State Football Championship Tickets for the 11AA game.  This game is between Pierre and Brookings on Friday November 15 at 12pm. Tickets can be bought at the High School starting Tuesday November 12 from 8:00am-4:00pm.  Tickets will be sold starting Tuesday and ending on Thursday November 14 at 12pm. Tickets may also be bought online ( and at the gate.  The Brookings Bobcats will be the visitors for this game and seats will be located on the visiting side (east) of the stadium.  Sections 118-120 They will also be charging for parking ($5) at the stadium. 

    General Admission

   Adult Tickets: $15

   Student Tickets: $10.

   (Student is defined as anyone Grades 1-12. Children Kindergarten and below will not need a ticket, and can sit in the general)

   SDSU is making available upgraded seating options (Club Seating, Loge Seating, Luxury Suites).  These options need to be purchased directly through or the SDSU Ticket Office at 605.688.6942.


SDSU SOCCER…South Dakota State women’s soccer will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma to face third-seeded Oklahoma State in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. The Jackrabbits and Cowgirls will square off Friday at 7 p.m. from Neal Patterson Stadium.

   The Summit League champions enter the tourney with a 15-4-2 record.  Oklahoma State won the Big 12 regular season title with a 15-2-3 mark.

   SDSU head coach Brock Thompson says Big 12 teams play physical soccer.  

   Summit League Offensive Player of the Year Leah Manuleleua says the Jackrabbits have enough scoring punch to pressure opponents.  

   Goalkeeper of the Year Maggie Smither expects opponents to try different things to score.  She’d like to duplicate last spring’s Sweet 16 run by the women’s basketball team. 

   The winner of Friday’s contest will advance to face either Santa Clara or California in the second round, held Nov. 22-24. Each winning team will advance to the third round, where they will again play a single-elimination match at the same location.


SDSU MBB…South Dakota State will play Southern Cal of the Pac 12 Conference Tuesday night in non-conference men’s basketball.

   Tip-off is at 9:00pm, Central Time.

   SDSU defeated Cal-Bakersfield in double overtime Saturday – head coach Erick Henderson says they worked hard for the win.  

   Henderson says SDSU can improve. 


WILSON POW…South Dakota State’s Douglas Wilson was selected as the Summit League’s Men’s Basketball Athlete of the Week.

   Wilson is coming off a monster debut week for the Jackrabbits, averaging 21 points and 8.7 rebounds per contest with a trio of double-figure scoring performances. Wilson helped SDSU to a 3-0 record to begin the year, scoring 24, 13 and 26 against UTRGV, Peru State and CSU Bakersfield, respectively. Wilson tallied his first-career double-double in the win over CSU Bakersfield with a game-high 13 rebounds.


AP WOMEN’S 25…Both South Dakota State and South Dakota received votes in this week’s AP women’s basketball Top 25:

   Oregon is number one in the ranking, followed by Baylor, Stanford, UConn and Texas A&M.  Notre Dame is 15th.

   The Jackrabbits, Coyotes, Drake, Iowa State and Minnesota all received votes this week.  


GOEDERT ALL-TIME…Former SDSU tight end Dallas Goedert has been named one of the top five tight ends all-time in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

   The Britton native is the MVFC career record holder (for a tight end) with 2,988 receiving yards, also holds the single-season record for a TE with 1,293 receiving yards in 2016.  He currently plays for the Philadelphia Eagles.

   Others named are Clay Harbor and Brad St. Louis of Missouri State, James O’Shaugnessy of Illinois State and MyCole Pruitt of Southern Illinois.
