Doran, Rasmussen file for Brookings City Council

Two people have filed for Brookings City Council. Current office holder Brianna Doran is seeking reelection and Andrew Rasmussen has also filed for the post.
Those two faced off in a race for a one-year term on the council last year and, after a recount, Doran won by four votes, 1274-1270.
There are two, three-year terms up this year. Joey Collins holds the other seat and says he is not seeking reelection.
There is also one seat up this year on the Brookings School Board. Current Board Member Wes Tschetter earlier filed to seek reelection.
Friday at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to file.
