Early/absentee voting begins today in South Dakota
Early and absentee voting for South Dakota’s 2022 General Election begins today.
In Brookings County, voters will be able to cast ballots in person at the City and County Government Center. A valid photo ID will be required to vote.

You cannot display any campaign signs or materials within 100-feet of the entrance of any polling place.
Voters may also request an absentee ballot through the mail. Applications are available through county auditors or online at the secretary of state’s website.
In Brookings County, there are elections for Dist. 7 House of Representatives, County Commission, County Sheriff and a Third Circuit Court Judge. There are also statewide races, an initiated measure and a constitutional amendment.
