Eight COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota, including one in Brookings County

Eight COVID-19 death reported Wednesday in the Department of Health weekly update – the statewide total is now 3175. One of the deaths was reported in Brookings County.
There have been 996 new cases statewide in the last week and hospitalizations have increased by two to 75. There have been 277,651 total cases.
In Brookings County, there have been 24 new cases reported in the last week, raising the overall total to 3,604. There are 20 reported deaths in the county. Currently, no one is hospitalized in Brookings County for COVID-19.
