Elkton business burglary reported

The Brookings County Sheriff’s office is investigating an Elkton burglary.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sbering says it happened sometime Saturday or Sunday on the 100 block of Elk Street.
He says someone kicked in an exterior door. Once inside, additional damage was done to the building including cutting the hinges off a safe. The suspect or suspects left the business without taking any property or money.
Damage is estimated at $100.
