Elkton woman injured in car-deer accident

An Elkton woman is injured in a Thursday afternoon car-deer accident on Highway 14.
Assistant Brookings County Sheriff Scott Sebring says a minivan driven by 42-year-old Cary Wadsworth was eastbound on Highway 14 at about 3:30 p.m. when the deer entered the roadway from a shelterbelt on the south side of the road. It happened at the intersection with 476th Avenue.
Wadsworth was taken to the Brookings Hospital by Brookings ambulance with unknown injuries.
The Sheriff’s office is investigating.
