Elkton woman injured in Friday accident
An Elkton woman is injured in a Friday morning two-vehicle accident just outside that town.
Assistant Brookings County Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened shortly before 8:00 a.m. at 218th Street and 487th Avenue
An SUV driven by 39-year-old Brandi Mcdowell of Elkton was headed south and a pickup driven by 64-year-old Susan Sudtelgte of Elkton was headed west. Both vehicles slowed for the intersection but their views were blocked by unharvested corn and the vehicles collided.
Mcdowell was taken to the Brookings Hospital by the Elkton Ambulance with unknown injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
