Four additional coronavirus deaths reported in South Dakota, raising the total to 17. Twelve of those deaths, including all four reported today, are in Minnehaha County.
The South Dakota Department of Health now reports 2449 total cases of COVID-19 with 76 new cases. The number of active cases dropped by nine from Wednesday and stands at 859.
The Department reports 1573 people have recovered and 173 are in the “ever hospitalized” category. Current hospitalizations are at 76. There have been 14,579 negative tests.
One additional case in Brookings County which is now at 13 cases with three active. There have been 353 negative tests conducted in Brookings County.
Minnehaha County is now at 2038 cases. A majority are connected to Smithfield Foods.
