Four additional COVID-19 deaths for the second straight day in South Dakota, raising the total to 21. Sixteen of those deaths, including all four today, are in Minnehaha County.
The South Dakota Department of Health now reports 2525 total cases of COVID-19 with 76 cases reported today. Of those, 818 are active cases. The number of active cases dropped by 41 from Thursday.
The Department reports 1686 people have recovered and 179 are in the “ever hospitalized” category. Current hospitalizations are at 69. There have been 14,838 negative tests.
Brookings County remains at 13 cases with just one active. There have been 358 negative tests conducted in Brookings County.
Minnehaha County is now at 2089 cases.
