Grain dryer fire reported near White

The White Fire Department and Brookings County Sheriff’s Department respond to a Tuesday night grain dryer fire a couple miles south of White at 206th St. and 479th Avenue.
Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says when crews arrived, the corn inside the dryer was burning.
The dryer was damaged and about 500 bushels of corn were lost. Estimated damages are about $53,000.
The fire call came in at about 8:20 pm. Sebring says the cause of the fire is not known at this time.
