High profile 2015 child death still moving through SD court system

A high profile child homicide case that dates back to 2015 in South Dakota is still ongoing.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says a circuit judge has denied a request from Joseph Patterson for a hearing to be released from custody.
Patterson was sentenced to life in prison for Second Degree Murder, First Degree Manslaughter and Aggravated Battery of an Infant.
Two-year old Tyrese Ruffin, the child of former Minnesota Viking Adrian Peterson, died in the incident.
Patterson is expected to appeal to the South Dakota Supreme Court.
