Highway Patrol releases name of woman killed in Saturday’s single vehicle crash in Milbank

A Milbank woman has been identified as the person who died Saturday afternoon in a single vehicle crash in Milbank.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol reports an SUV drove up the curb on a Milbank street, swiped a tree, then continued throughan intersection at high speed. The SUV then drove into a front yard and struck another tree, where it came to rest.
A passenger in the vehicle, 28-year-old Miranda Koepke, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver, 34-year-old Rhys Roemhildt, sustained serious non-life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Milbank Hospital. He was wearing a seatbelt.
