Home in White damaged by fire

A home in White is damaged in a Saturday evening fire.
Brookings County Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it was called in at about 8:07 p.m.
The White and Toronto Fire Departments responded to the fire in a residence on the 100 block of West 2nd Street. Crews discovered the residence to have a significant fire
inside but was not fully engulfed.
No residents or pets were inside the home at the time of the fire. Crews were able to extinguish the fire. Total damages are still being estimated.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
