Man accidentally shoots himself in the leg

A man from White is taken to the hospital after shooting himself in the leg at Sexauer Park in Brookings.
Police Sergeant Joel Perry says it happened about 1:00 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
The 24-year-old man told police he had just purchased the .45 caliber handgun and was looking it over when it discharged.
