Man dies in Spearfish fire
A Spearfish man has died after suffering injuries in a mobile home fire early Wednesday morning.
Spearfish fire crews were called to the scene shortly before 7:00 a.m. They found an active structure fire with smoke and flames visible.
A lone male occupant was located in the residence and removed from the home. He was taken by ambulance to the Spearfish hospital, and later air lifted to a burn center in Greeley, Colorado, where he died from his injuries.
The man’s name has not yet been released.
The mobile home was destroyed.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
