Man dies from injuries suffered in head-on collision on Hwy. 14 in Stanley County

An 81-year-old man has died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that happened on the afternoon of Friday, April 12, two miles west of Fort Pierre in Stanley County.
According to the Highway Patrol, the driver of a pickup crossed into the oncoming lane on US Highway 14. The driver of another pickup tried to swerve to avoid the collision but was unable to do so, and there was a head on collision.
Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to the Pierre hospital.
On Sunday, the driver of the pickup that swerved into the wrong lane died as a result of his injuries.
