Mike Jewett resigns as Brookings School District Director of Student Activities

Brookings School District Director of Student Activities, Mike Jewett, has resigned his position effective May 9th.
Jewett has accepted a coaching position in the Women’s Basketball program at the University of South Dakota.
He has served as the Director of Student Activities in Brookings for the past two years. Prior to that, he was assistant coach for the SDSU women’s basketball team.
Jewett says he enjoyed his time as Activities Director, but missed coaching.
Superintendent Klint Willert says an interim Director of Activities will be named soon to complete the 2022-23 school year and the district will advertise to fill the position.
