Name released in Saturday’s fatal crash in Lake County

A Huron man has been identified as the person who died early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash 12 miles west of Madison.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 83-year-old Dwight Hale was the man who died. He was driving a car that was traveling east on U.S. Highway 81. A pickup was traveling west on the highway. The car entered the oncoming lane of travel and collided with the pickup.
Hale sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
A passenger in the pickup received minor injuries. The driver and two other passengers were not injured.
