New Neurologist to See Patients at Outreach Clinic
Brookings, S.D. – Aug. 18, 2020 – Neurologist Dr. Carol Nelson of Avera Medical Group Neurology will begin seeing patients at Brookings Health System’s outreach specialty clinic. Her first clinic date in Brookings is Sept. 1.
As a general neurologist, Dr. Nelson cares for patients of all ages with brain, spine and nervous system conditions. She specializes in treating headaches, from new onset headaches to chronic, longstanding migraines.
Dr. Nelson received her medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. She performed her residency in neurology at the University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, VT and her internship at Sanford Hospital & University Medical Center. She is certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
