No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday; active cases continue to increase

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday, the total remains 1938.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 5 to 156. Total cases increase by 8 to 3886. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,693 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 142. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases go up by 42 to 2485. Total cases increase by 156 to 118,517. The number of people who have recovered is 114,094. Current hospitalizations drop by 15 to 88.

Some 451,778 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 275,483 people. A total of 15,419 doses have been given in Brookings County to 10,468 people.
