No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday. The total remains 2026.

Active cases in Brookings County hold at seven. There are no new cases, the total remains 4235 and recovered cases hold steady at 4191. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “minimal” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 16 to 170. Total cases increase by 10 to 124,382. There are 122,186 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by one to 28.

Fifty-six percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 675,359 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 361,096 people. A total of 27,378 doses have been given in Brookings County to 14,789 people.
