No COVID-19 deaths reported Thursday in South Dakota; active cases fall

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Thursday, the total remains 1962.

Active cases in Brookings County drop by 11 to 115. Total cases increase by 7 to 4178. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 4026 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 150. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 67 to 1722. Total cases increase by 135 to 122,532. There are 118,848 recovered cases. Current Hospitalizations increase by 12 to 115.

Fifty-four percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 582,065 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 326,860 people. A total of 21,176 doses have been given in Brookings County to 13,218 people.
