Thanks to the Jacks win on Sunday, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum will be displaying an SDSU football helmet on his desk for the rest of this month. Burgum lost a bet with South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem on the FCS Championship football game.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds also won his wager with North Dakota Senator Kevin Cramer. Rounds had steaks, SDSU ice cream and tiger meat on the line while Cramer promised enough bison burgers and brats to feed both Senators’ staffs in Washington, DC.

The Jacks beat the Bison 45-21 to bring home SDSU’s first national championship since both teams switched to Division 1 in 2004. The Bison have won the Football Championship nine times.
