One arrested in SD shooting that left 2 dead, 3 injured
SCOTLAND, S.D. (AP) — State officials say one person is in custody for a shooting in southeastern South Dakota that left two people dead and three others injured.
The state Department of Public Safety says the shooting happened at a residence in the Bon Homme County community of Scotland Tuesday evening.
Authorities say one survivor was airlifted to a Sioux Falls hospital with life-threatening injuries. The conditions of the other two who were injured were not released.
DPS says a man was taken into custody without incident by local law enforcement officers.
Scotland is a city of about 800 residents located northwest of Yankton. No further details were released.
