One COVID-19 death reported in SD weekly report

One COVID-19 death reported Wednesday in the Department of Health weekly update — the statewide total is now 3116.

There have been 624 new cases statewide in the last week and hospitalizations have increased by 19 to 83. There have been 271,433 total cases.

In Brookings County, there have been 24 new cases reported in the last week, raising the yearly total to 3,358. There have been 17 deaths in 2022. There are currently no hospitalizations in Brookings County for COVID-19.
