One COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Monday, the total is now 1947.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 7 to 179. Total cases increase by 20 to 4005. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,789 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 146. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases increase by 12 to 2425. Total cases increase by 187 to 119,892. There are 115,520 recovered cases. Current Hospitalizations decrease by 6 to 96.

Half of the state’s population has now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Some 500,996 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 303,040 people. A total of 18,000 doses have been given in Brookings County to 11,458 people.
