One COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Wednesday, the total is now 1948.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 4 to 190. Total cases increase by 22 to 4048. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,821 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 146. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 48 to 2391. Total cases increase by 225 to 120,379. There are 116,040 recovered cases. Current Hospitalizations increase by 7 to 113.

Fifty-one percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 508,407 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 306,642 people. A total of 18,181 doses have been given in Brookings County to 11,544 people.
