One man is dead after a single-vehicle crash that was reported early Wednesday morning south of Colman in Moody County.

The name of the person involved has not yet been released pending notification of family.

According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a Polaris 4-wheeler was eastbound on a rural road when the vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and came to rest against a barbed wire fence.

The 48-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The exact time of the crash has not yet been determined. It was discovered at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
